Recurring Sitter

Some of our member families want to have a regular Saturday night sitter or an every Tuesday and Thursday daytime sitter. This type of request is referred to as Recurring Sitter. The sitters available for this type of work are looking to have a routine to their schedule and the families are looking to have a small rotation of sitters available to share the appointments.

These sitters cover daytime, evening or weekend shifts depending on the family’s needs. They are either undergrad or graduate students, entrepreneurs, consultants or part time working men and women who love caring for children.

Recurring Sitters typically commit on a month to month basis. For families that want more hours and one consistent childcare provider a Part Time Nanny is recommended. For families looking for flexibility with their bookings, schedule and would like a variety of wonderful personalities caring for their children a Recurring Sitter is for you!

Here is what some of our Recurring Sitters can do for your child(ren):

• Make Meals: Bottle, snack/meal prep
• Morning/wake up or Evening/bedtime routine
• Plan projects or fun activities: Make art, plan a playdate, or an outing to a museum
• Learn something new! Learn to sing, create a melody and play guitar
• Play games, enjoy local parks, or enjoy story time

Typically a family looking to book an Recurring Sitter will need coverage 1-5 days per week.

Families simply send their request to Bookings with what start date they need, days they need covered, start and end time for each of those days and any special requests. Our team will then go out to our sitter pool to see who is available and a match for the family. We do our best to book a small rotation of sitters that share the job appointments, when the normal rotation is not available, we will go out and introduce another sitter to ensure you are always covered. Families can cancel at any time for a $10 fee, if a family cancels with less than 24 hours notice there is a $50 fee.
